Seasonal Winter Service Closure Notice
Effective October 15, 2026


Basin Transit Service is announcing a seasonal winter closure of the following transportation services effective October 15, 2026


  • Veterans Transportation Service to Medford



The final day of service will be October 15, 2026. These services will be temporarily closed during the winter months and are anticipated to reopen sometime in April 2027.

Additional information regarding the exact reopening date and service schedules will be provided as we get closer to April.

We understand that these transportation options are important to the individuals and communities they serve. Basin Transit Service sincerely appreciates the continued support and understanding of our passengers and community partners during this seasonal closure.

We also extend our appreciation to our funding partners, staff, and drivers who help make these transportation services possible.

VETERANS ON THE GO

BTS, Klamath County Veterans Service Office and ODOT have partnered to provide zero cost Fixed Route and Basin Lift services to Veterans. 

Veterans must have a Klamath County Veterans Card to participate in the program. The card can be obtained at the Klamath County Government Building.

 MEET THE BUS

Meet the Bus is a free educational program open to City, County, and private schools for preschool through junior high students, parents, and teachers to learn about public transportation.

BTS staff bring a bus right to your school, provide a brief 15-minute classroom presentation tailored to the audience with free transit related materials and concludes with a bus familiarization ride to learn the practical basics of using local public transportation.
