BTS, Klamath County Veterans Service Office and ODOT have partnered to provide zero cost Fixed Route and Basin Lift services to Veterans.
Veterans must have a Klamath County Veterans Card to participate in the program. The card can be obtained at the Klamath County Government Building.

MEET THE BUS
Meet the Bus is a free educational program open to City, County, and private schools for preschool through junior high students, parents, and teachers to learn about public transportation.
BTS staff bring a bus right to your school, provide a brief 15-minute classroom presentation tailored to the audience with free transit related materials and concludes with a bus familiarization ride to learn the practical basics of using local public transportation.

Travel Training is a program for individuals needing help learning to use the bus system to include familiarization on reading maps and bus stop signs, using transfer stations, and riding the bus to specific stops.
Who can use Travel Training?
Anyone who feels uncomfortable with riding the bus for the first time may use Travel Training.
How does Travel Training Work?
Call our office to make an appointment to meet with a travel trainer that will have a brief one-on-one meeting, and setup set up a travel training session at a time and location that best meets your planned travel needs. From that location, the trainer will walk you through reading the route maps and times and ride the bus together from the nearest bus stop to learn about bus riding etiquette, and transfer stations. The trainer will ensure that you return to your desired location prior to the training conclusion.
