Coordinated Human Services Transportation Plan

What is a Coordinated Plan?

The Federal Transit Administration and Oregon Department of Transportation require coordinated planning between transit agencies, tribes, and human services providers to efficiently and effectively get people to important destinations, such as jobs and medical appointments. Last updated in 2016, we are revising the plan to help shape your transit services for a better, more connected community.

Why Plan?

Because our mission is to provide safe, efficient, and accessible transportation, enhancing the livability of the community – we are always looking for ways to better integrate and improve transit services across Klamath County. The plan is an important document and helps us with potential funding for future transit projects.

What’s the Process?

Between now and early spring 2026, we will work with Klamath County’s seniors, tribal members, people with disabilities, low-income individuals, youth, veterans, and service providers to understand mobility needs and gaps. This information is the basis of our whole planning process and helps us shape the future of public transit in Klamath County.

Planning Partners

To help guide the process, we have established a Project Advisory Committee of local partners, human service agencies, and community representatives. The PAC will meet four times to review the plan’s progress and key elements before sharing with the broader community.

Project Timeline

Rider Survey

A rider survey was available from Nov 11-Dec 5 for the community to share its thoughts on how we can make transit more convenient, accessible, and responsive to its needs. The survey is now closed and the project time is reviewing the responses we received to incorporate into future project documents.

  • Summary of what we heard from you.
  • Focused discussions to make sure we got it right.

  • Community Open House to review proposed strategies, actions, and projects.
